A seasoned and strategic executive with a proven track record, encompassing diverse roles in the field of ecommerce logistics. Shadi brings a wealth of global experience, having successfully led teams in Operations, Transportation, Strategy, Network Design, Product Management, Professional Services, and Presales Solution Engineering and consulting.
His career success is grounded in his core competencies, which include operational performance management, strategic product and corporate planning, full P&L, budget accountability, and consistent organizational improvements. His effective leadership style has driven operating results across multiple international markets.
During his career at Pitney Bowes, Shadi oversaw a global organization of over 450 employees, responsible for the strategy and management of domestic and cross-border delivery, returns, and fulfillment services worldwide. He led go-to-market execution, transportation network strategy, design, and operational management, as well as P&L and budget planning for $1.3 billion in revenue. Notable achievements include a year-over-year improvement of $68.2 million (22%) in spend, optimizing the network footprint for cost-efficiency and service excellence, and consolidating 16 facilities into 11, balancing service quality, transportation costs, capacity, and wage rates while maintaining top service levels and stable transportation costs. He also revitalized and maintained a high-performing, reliable national network, enabling the introduction of a regional 1-3 day product service, which grew domestic parcel volume by 24% year-over-year. Additionally, he launched an innovative box-less and label-less drop-off network across over 1,000 locations, coupled with strategic partnerships and key industry alliances to enhance a comprehensive return offering.
Shadi also has strong expertise in developing, evaluating, and implementing diverse, yet innovative growth strategies and strategic plans, identifying where to invest and then capitalizing on market opportunities through competitive advantage and differentiation, identifying and entering joint ventures, strategic alliances, and partnerships. As part of the executive team, he worked on $490M in acquisitions, $200M in divestures and multiple partnerships.
Prior, Shadi also led the Global Presales and Professional Services organization focused on customer consulting and implementation of services. He also led efforts to redesign and optimize the Pitney Bowes domestic parcel operation to improve service reliability, including faster domestic delivery times and more on-time performance, leading to higher client satisfaction scores.
Prior to joining Pitney Bowes, Shadi gained extensive global experience in process and performance management consulting with a demonstrated track record of improving sales, delivery performance, client satisfaction and business growth. Through previous assignments at Bull – a global leader in digital transformation, Xerox, U.S. Department of Commerce, Citibank and IBM, Shadi conducted business and directed teams in Morocco, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Yemen, Turkey, Ghana, Tanzania, South Africa, Athens, Ireland, U.K., France, Mexico, China, Canada, and the U.S.
Shadi holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and an MBA in international business and marketing from the American University in Cairo. In addition, he holds multiple certifications from MIT Sloan School of Management in financial management, Cornell University in systems and strategies management reporting, George Washington University in project management, APICS in supply chain, and ITIL and PMP from PMI.
