Sal Pulido

Lead Consultant

Salvador Pulido is an engineering and operations leader with over 14 years of experience helping companies optimize their warehouses, supply chains, and automation systems. Over the years, he’s led projects for Fortune 500 organizations in logistics, retail, manufacturing, and defense — tackling everything from inventory accuracy to multi-million-dollar automation rollouts.

Most recently, at Pitney Bowes, Sal served as VP of MHE Automation Systems, where he drove a network-wide automation strategy that more than doubled parcel sortation capacity and reduced processing costs by nearly half. He managed over $125M in automation investments, launching eight new sites and upgrading two others in just two years. One of those projects — the Chicago facility — even landed on the cover of Modern Material Handling. Beyond the numbers, he built and coached teams that consistently delivered under tight deadlines while keeping innovation scores at the top of the company.

Before that, as a consultant with Brecham Group, Sal designed distribution centers and operating models that helped clients increase productivity and storage capacity by double digits. At National Oilwell Varco, he led inventory assurance efforts that increased accuracy from 83% to 98%, resulting in $1 million annual savings. At Target, he improved material handling system performance while identifying simple process changes that returned thousands of work hours to teams.

Sal is known for being hands-on — just as comfortable on a warehouse floor working with operators as he is in the boardroom shaping strategy. He’s passionate about blending data, technology, and practical problem-solving to deliver solutions that work effectively day-to-day.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from California State University, Long Beach, speaks both English and Spanish, and has been recognized with awards such as the President’s Pick at Pitney Bowes for his impact on Network Expansion.
